KRAFTON Unveils Management Strategy for 2025 with a ‘Big Franchise IP’ vision

The developer of the PUBG franchise, KRAFTON, has revealed its ambitious future intentions. CEO CH Kim presented a plan to concentrate on creating a ‘Big Franchise IP’ that may propel the business’s growth to the next level during its most recent company-wide town hall meeting, known as KRAFTON LIVE TALK (KLT) on January 16th, 2025.

From what was discussed in the 113th KLT, KRAFTON will make significant investments in its first-party studios to develop competitive and innovative game franchises. The company, which has 14 creative studios, is working on new releases like Subnautica 2, Dark and Darker Mobile, and inZOI, which might ship as early as March 2025.

To produce such games, they’re also stepping up their efforts to hire top personnel and improve development procedures. KRAFTON also plans to expand its publishing efforts by releasing more games across PC, mobile, and console platforms.

This includes partnering with other developers and using their global publishing expertise. The company is also rethinking how it uses its resources to ensure every project gets the attention it needs.

CEO CH Kim expressed excitement about the future, saying the goal is to create another franchise that builds on PUBG’s success. He said: “We are committed to securing a new Big Franchise IP that builds on the success of ‘PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS’ and look forward to driving exponential growth in corporate value through this step-by-step approach.”
