A team of three former Belka Games developers has co-founded a new mobile game studio, Studio42, in Cyprus. While Alexandr Bogdanov takes the helm as the CEO, Ivan Larionov and Pavel Sudakov take the roles of COO and Producer respectively.
Speaking of the founders’ history at Belka Games, Alexandr served as CEO for over seven years, Ivan spent nearly five years at the company, most recently as head of development, and Pavel led the R&D department for over five years.
Studio42 will focus on creating projects that incorporate puzzle mechanics and a hybrid monetization model.
The official statement via the studio’s LinkedIn read: “Because we missed the days of small, cozy teams — the kind where 15 people work side by side, turning bold ideas into real games fast, without getting lost in endless processes. And, of course, we wanted to create something new. On our own terms. No limits.”
Their first project is already in development, though details remain under wraps. The studio’s official website features three cover images, one of which displays the title Purrfect. Still, an official launch expected soon as confirmed by Ivan via his LinkedIn post.
