Metica lands $9M to redefine UA, Monetization, and Personalization in Gaming. The round was led by venture capital firms Play Ventures, 13books, and Firstminute Capital, with participation from renowned angel investors including Riccardo Zacconi, founder and ex-CEO of King, Carolin Krenzer, CEO of Trailmix, Klaas Kersting, CEO of Phoenix Games, Michail Katkoff, Founder of Deconstructor of Fun, Roland Rudd, Chairman of FGS Global, Nigel Morris, former CEO of Dentsu, and René Rechtman, founder of Moonbug Entertainment.
Founded by serial entrepreneurs, Phil Mohr and Puli Liyanagama, the dynamic duo behind Metica, with successes like DataTiger (acquired by Apple) and Comufy (acquired by King) under their belts, the team is bringing their AI expertise to make games grow faster and players happier in their 3rd startup.
The founders have already assembled a team, including many long-time collaborators from previous ventures. The team aims to address critical challenges in the gaming industry:
