Games and Toys company Hasbro’s digital and licensed gaming revenue saw a major boost in 2024, growing 22% year-over-year to reach $471.7 million. A standout performer was the usual suspect in MONOPOLY GO! from Scopely, which contributed an impressive $112 million alone for the full year 2024.
It hasn’t been a secret that since its launch, MONOPOLY GO! has consistently ranked among the top-grossing mobile games. Officially by the end of last year, MONOPOLY GO! has reached over 150 million downloads, 10 million daily players, and over $3 billion in revenue ever since its launch in April 2023.
Thanks to its easy-to-understand digital board gameplay, it has been attracting both casual and dedicated players. Thanks to its frequent updates, social features, and competitive events, I don’t think this interest among players will drop soon.

Beyond MONOPOLY GO!, Hasbro’s Magic: The Gathering franchise experienced mixed results. The Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment grew by 4%, but Magic: The Gathering revenue dipped slightly by 1% due to the previous year’s strong performance driven by the Lord of the Rings set.
Despite the digital and licensed gaming segment remaining a key revenue driver, Hasbro’s total revenue declined by 17% year-over-year to $4.1 billion, which is largely due to the sale of its eOne entertainment division.
Hasbro’s fourth-quarter revenue dropped by 15% compared to the previous year, though excluding the eOne divestiture, the decline was only 3%. However, Hasbro’s leadership remains optimistic.
Looking ahead to 2025, Hasbro plans to expand its gaming portfolio, strengthen brand partnerships, and continue optimizing its business.
