Akin Babayigit, co-founder of Tripledot Studios, is setting up a $100 million investment fund to support mobile gaming companies.
First reported by Bloomberg, Babayigit’s newly established firm, Arcadia Gaming Advisors, has been registered in the UK, and sources indicate that he has already secured funding for its initial launch. The investment firm also lists Orkun Kilic, founder and CIO of Berry Street Capital, as a director.
A former Facebook executive, Babayigit stepped down as Tripledot’s COO in September 2024 after seven years with the company. Sharing that he has a deep passion for the early stages of building a business, he stated that his “true flow-state is the ‘0-to-1’ phase of a company’s journey”.
However, he acknowledged that “change is the only constant in life”, and while he’s stepping away from daily operations, he will still be involved as a board member.
Bloomberg also points to Babayigit’s close connections with a circle of prominent Turkish founders who have significantly contributed to the mobile gaming sector in the past few years.
He has been identified as one of the prominent players among successful companies like Bigger Games, Spyke Games, and Dream Games, the maker of Royal Match, while having filled in as an advisor to Peak Games, which was sold to Zynga for $1.8 billion.
